Elizabeth Chai

Elizabeth’s interest in motivating young people prompted her to work with various groups of youth; especially with the Girls’ Brigade Malaysia. She finds “adventure counselling” an effective way to elicit the real problems in her counselling work.

She has worked in the area of counselling youth as a volunteer at a religious based volunteer counselling centre. While she was doing her Masters Degree, she focused on counselling teenagers at an orphanage as well as adults at a volunteer counselling centre as part of her practicum.

The current Chairperson of the Girls’ Brigade Selangor/Federal Territory Group Council and a National Executive Council member, Elizabeth conducts Life-Skills Training Session for the organization.

To enhance her knowledge, Elizabeth attended a Business Communications Workshop. Currently Elizabeth works with young people in the areas of conduct, anger management, family systems dysfunction among others.
